OG Explanation is fine.   Notice, that once you find k+m=8, nothing in the problem rules out extremes like k= -10 and m=18.    If we just line up the numbers -10,2,3,3,8,18    The median is 3.

Question 162 – “In the figure above…”

OG Explanation is long but thorough.   This is hard problem; make sure that you completely understand the problem.

Question 163 – “(8^3)…”

OG Explanation is fine.

Question 164 – “When 10 is divided..”

OG Explanation is too complicated.   Just plug in.

Choice A: You can’t have a remainder of -1.   Eliminate A.

Choice B:  10 divided by 4 leaves a remainder of 2 not 0.   Eliminate B.

Choice C: 10 divided by7 leave a remained of 3.  7-4 is 3.   So this is correct.

For completeness: Choice D: 10 divided by 8 leaves a remainder of 2 not 4.

Choice E: 10 divided by 12 leaver a remainder of 10 not 8.

The answer is C.

Question 165 – “If 1/2…”

OG Explanation is fine.   It might be easier to do percents here.   50% is in the trust fund, 25% in bonds, and 20% in mutual funds.   The remaining $10,000 represents 5%.   If 5% is $10,000 then 100% is $200,000.    The answer is C.

Question 166 – “If m is an integer…”

OG Explanation is fine

Question 167 – “In a mayoral….”

OG Explanation is fine.

Question 168 – “An airline passenger…”

OG Explanation is fine.

Question 169 – “If n is a positive…”

OG Explanation is fine.
